The Finals

I haven't been blogging since New Year, and the reason is simple. Its Finals month. My first paper is tomorrow. So just to inform you ppl, i'll be away till most probably Feb. Unless of course i get too bored with my studies and have nothing else better to do to release my stress =) Till then, TATA!

2005

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!

Anyway before that, let's talk about Christmas. Yup, its the season to be jolly. First Christmas away from home too. Well, Trinity was kind enough to organize a Christmas Lunch for the whole fast track on the 22nd (we had to buy our own presents tho) and they served some good roast turkey (Yum!). They even got one of the lecturers to become Santa and he gave out presents to everyone (each of us bought one and put it into the sack). Unfortunately, i got the present that Lip Zhun's bought (so gay!) and it turns out to be a useless box with a mirror. Thanks a bunch, roomie >:( hehe. After that, they showed a short slideshow of our past memories of fast track....sigh....so touching...can't believe its all going to end soon. Oh well. Besides that, it wasnt too special. Christmas Eve was different though. We together organized a BBQ party for the occasion and ive got to say its the best party i've been to. Nearly the whole fast track turned up, and we just started doing crazee stuff like drinking games and a gigantic truth or dare which each and everyone has to participate (at least once). Thank god my dare was an easy one, just announce to everyone the size of my undies (unlike some ppl who had to kiss a certain guy/girl, or do some shameful act like plucking armpit hair OUCCHH!!!). Everyone went wild (not because of the alcohol), particularly the malaysian gang, and everyone just had tons of fun. It's hard to describe the atmosphere, but its one hell of a bang.

Christmas day was nothing special. We stayed in. Everything was closed anyway. Decided to overnight at friend's place in the suburbs. Nice big bangalow house. Very uninteresting (not the house, the day). Boxing day was a little more lively though. We all know (except JooYee) that Boxing day is the day after Christmas , when almost everything goes on a huge sale. Everyone went shopping, so i decided to join in the fun(/fuss). Unfortunately, even after huge price cuts, its still pretty high for my wallet (FCUK still 30 bucks and above) so i didnt really buy anything except a pair of basketball shoes. AND 1 Starbury for 99 bucks. Not a bad bargain, i reckon. Girls, on the other hand, aarrrhemmm.....bought tons of stuff..........as expected.

I wont talk about the middle of the hols since its just eat-sleep-play anyways. Lets talk New Year's Eve. Yup. I know u sad ppl in Malaysia had no fireworks (boo-hoo) because of the mourning for the Tsunami thingy but it seems that the people in Melbourne don't care so the fireworks display was still on. Before that though, i met up with Sue Ann (Teng) somewhere in the city and went for a cup of Bubble Tea (sister's friend's idea). Invited her over to join us at our friend's place for dinner. We had a mini party, we even played with some old time fireworks (the stick with fizzling at the top). Just to hype things up before the countdown. I hope she didn't get too bored, or i would feel really really bad =( Anyways after that, we went to Federation Square for the countdown. Didn't really get to the place we wanted to go, cause the street was too packed that we couldnt move an inch. Nevertheless, we did get a pretty good view of the fireworks, and it was worth all the pushing and wrestling.

A new year. A new hope. A new beginning.
