Luxury WeekendFriday - My family arrived early in the morning and gave me a wake up call. Had to walk to their service apartment despite my drowsiness ( watched Dumb & Dumber last nite till 2 ; definitely one of the best comedies out there =D ). Reunited with my parents and bro again. Checked out their room/apartment , probably three times bigger than my apartment. Its really fully equipped , with washing machine, dryer, dish washer, toaster, iron etc. you get the idea. Got a glimpse of tons of stuff that my mom brought over for me ( Man its a lot! ) but i was most excited about my new phone , a Nokia 3200. Its the bubble-buttoned phone that looks really funky and cheap but it turned out to be a very good phone and im lovin it! It has a camera ( tho its really lousy , only for oh-i-really-need-to-take-a-pic-badly-but-i-didnt-bring-my-camera ) , radio and even a built-in flashlight LOL. Still had an hour bfor college so i brought my family to this place for hot choc. Its a place that ill never go myself ( 5.50 for a beverage woot! ) The hot choc is really special cause they serve this cute cut with a burning candle in it and some milk on the top. Then ur supposed to like melt your own chocolate ( they give u a little bowl of it ) and slurp it up using a spoon-straw. Yup it IS spoon + straw. Pretty neat idea. Too bad the flavor wasnt up to our expectations. Good experience tho hehe. <<<<<>>>>>> Later that nite we went Mark's Place for dinner. Its situated opposite my college , and supposedly serves one of the best pizzas in town. Didn't disappoint us. We had Tangy Chicken Supreme pizza, some Carbonara and fried kalamari. Every one of them left us wanting for more SLURP! Ended the day moving some heavy stuff to my apartment.....including a 120gb external hdisk WOOOTT!!!
Saturday - Had to wake up early again to go my parents' place for bfast. My mom cooked some yee mee. Havent tasted that for quite some while..... Next , brought my family to Vic Market to do some shopping. Got some groceries as well as some souvenirs. Nothing for me though , i can go there anytime i want hehe. Had some hot spanish donuts tho yum yum. We spent a huge ammount of time there, till about 2. Later my parents rested at my place , killing time bfor dinner. Sat a tram to Chapel Street where my bro's fren Chin Chai brought us to this restaurant , supposedly the best siu yok in Melb. The place is really busy and fully booked ( we booked also duh ). The food was good, especially the siu yok. Better than Malaysia maannn. Went for gelati for dessert wif my friends and managed to buy the last cup of it. Too bad for my other friends , they had to settle for second best =P Shifted my printer and soundblaster back to my apartment ; there's still more to come
Sunday - Had to wake up early to walk to my parents place AGAIN. Had bacon and eggs this time. The plan was to visit St.Kilda's beach today. After bfast , we shifted the remaining stuff to my apartment ( finally ! ) and off we were to St.Kilda. A little misfortune on the way, the tram broke down and we had to wait 20 min for the next one. Took about another 20 to reach our destination. Walked along the Sunday Market to look at some nice handmade art thingies along the road parallel to the beach. Chin Chai brought us to eat gelati again , he says its comparable to the one we have at Lygon. Lunch was just fastfood, nothing special. We then took a stroll along the beach , taking some pictures on the way. The beach wasn't too special , but beaches are always relaxing aren't they? Hehe. After that i had a appointment to play bball wif my mates and i brought my bro along. Finally it didnt rain on the weekend so we had a pretty good game, but we couldnt stay long cause i wanted to bring my parents to Crown ( remember Crown? ) Took a tram instead of walking this time , what a relief. Ate some buffet from dinner, the food wasn't great but stuffed in as much meat as i could to make my money worth hehe. Later that night we walked to the bridge at Yaara's River to get a good look of the pillars of fire. I soon found out that there were 8 pillars , instead of 3 ( from the last post ) and it looks even more magnificent from there. More walking after that , just to enjoy the scenery and fresh air bfor making our back to the apartment. Had to do some last minute homewoek for college tomoro...."^.^

DullEver since that crown trip , things have been pretty much lifeless. Sunday started with lunch , and planned to play basketball in the afternoon ( got really anxious after watching Olympics basketball ). Unfortunately , rain came pouring down right when we were about to leave the apartment. Sadness. And when it rains here , it means that ur day is pretty much screwed. U're left with your laptop , and u pray really hard that the internet doesnt break down ( TV is useless during the day ) . The second option is simple , sleep. The LAST option is studying , but its hard to overcome the first two choices bfor getting to this one lol.
Monday was really just a routine day so id rather not waste my time talking about it. The only thing interesting though , was that i got my Math 1 results. 93 %. Not too bad. Still not enough to beat freaky kafaii's 99% though =P
Today wasn't too bad. After HOI lecture ( which i spent the whole period drawing greeting cards ) , we went to the library to do a lil of our assignment. Lasted for an hour max , and we decided to go back. On the way , grabbed a cup of Boost Juice YUUMMM!!!! Its a drink with juice , ice cream , yoghurt , sorbet all blended together. Brilliant idea. A lil on the expensive side , but being a student eased the burden slightly. I had friends hang around at my place till dinner time , and cooked curry for our meal. Syok as usual , and the brocolli we fried tasted extrordinarily delicious. Hehe. Next up was CSI marathon. Aint a big fan of the series but my friend dragged me into watching it so what the heck =)

Is it Saturday? It sure doesn't feel like one. Had Math 2 practice test in the morning , thank god its the last practice test for now....I thought it wasn't too hard. Managed to finish in about 45 min and had another 45 min to check over things. Wasn't too sure about one or two questions, but it shouldn't affect my marks too badly. An hour later we had physics lecture. Gaawwddd its sooo damn boring!!! One and a half hour felt like a whole day. Torture.
The rest of the day wasn't too bad actually. Had a really good nap while my internet was down. The gang went for football but its just not my game. In the evening we decided to go to Crown. Its me first time!!! Yeaayy!!! ( Note : Crown is this really famous hotel/shopping complex/casino in Melb ) Took a stroll for about 30 min to get there. Passed through places in never been bfor and found some really magnificent looking buildings. The river ( forgot the name ) was beautiful. The scenery was breathtaking. If only i had my camera. Oh well ill probably be snapping many photos next week when my family comes over. Anyways back to crown. It brings back memories of Genting. It definitely looked and felt like it. Not to mention the prices of stuffs were similiar too..... Finally got our dinner at like 9 pm , sat outdoors to enjoy the breeze. I didn't notice at first but there was like 3 huge pillars nearby and suddenly they went BOOM!!! Fire blazed out from each of them , one after the other. Unbelievable. I heard it only happens every hour , and we were fortunate to be at the right place at the right time. Dinner was good ( but xpensive ) and i had a real big ice cream cone to top it all =) YUMMYYY

Olympics basketballThis post probably wont interest any of u all ( except Nick of course ) but i'm really pumped up after watching USA vs AUS two nights ago so i just feel like letting it all out.
Firstly, this is just gonna be about team USA ( obviously cause it consists of NBA players ). One thing's for sure, this ain't no Dream Team. Only two real veterans in the form of Tim Duncan and Iverson , and 3 rookies. Don't get me wrong , they're still super talented , but definitely not the best. My starting line up would be :
Point guard : Iverson
Shooting guard : Carmelo Anthony
Small forward : Lebron James
Power forward : Amare / Marion ( prefer Marion tho )
Center : Tim Duncan
Yup. Marbury doesnt make the cut being the point. He's totally lost his offensive abilities and he's not defending too well either ( i saw aussie point guards blowing past him many times ) Besides , team USA doesn't need a proper point guard. They live on individual talents anyway. Why is Carmelo and Lebron in ? They're young , but they're damn good. Carmelo needs to be there to shoot. US struggled cause everyone on the team was reluctant to shoot the 3 , and when they did , it barely threatened the ring. Lebron , in my opinion , is the best one-man-show guy in the team. He brings so much energy to the game , and he can score or create for his teammates. That's wat the team needs since they havent trained set plays long enough. In the PF spot, Marion is such a great offensive weapon and he can jump pretty darn high to collect those rebounds. Jefferson , dont get me started about it. He just sucks to the max. I dont understand how they he got into the team anyway. Same with Lamar Odom , i just dont think he's that good. Timmy and Iverson , still doing wat they do best. Still the best players in the team. Marbury and Amare can come of the bench to rotate the lineup a lil. Or maybe Odom once in a while. ( No Jefferson pls , i havent seen Ofakur play )
Despite the two disappointing losses to Italy and Puerto Rico, im still opting for US to win this one. US no doubt still has the best offensive team , but they have to learn to defend the perimeter. The 3 point line is shorter now , and other teams are exploiting it. If Larry Brown can finally get the team to improve defensively , US is unbeatable. Offense is not a problem , with such a talented group. They'll flow somehow. One thing though , international referee sucks >=P
That's all for now. I just hope they show more Olympic basketball on TV....

Still Falls The RainWorst weather ever. Its been raining since midnight. Today is no doubt the coldest day since we've come to Aussie. Had to walk to Math 1 test in the rain , plus the wind was blowing ever so srongly. My hands were shaking while holding the pen. Brrrrr!!! I think i faired pretty well in the test but hey , im known for making wrong judgements.
Still falls the rain
Its nearly midnight now , and its still freaking raining. I've been sleeping since lunchtime only to wake up for dinner. Internet is down !$*#(@%&!#($%* ( i posted this a day later btw ) Had nothing to do but to watch a marathon of Police Academy. ( they aired 2 , 3 , 4 ) Plus , they aired Bulletproof too ( a movie by Sandlers ) and it turned out to be a pretty good movie =)

What an awful start to a day. Literature test. Bleeh. Here's an example:Once there was a shock
Which left behind a long glimmering comet's tail
It contains us. It makes TV pictures blurred
It deposits itself as cold drops on the aerials
Now we're supposed to write a 500 words essay on it. Hmmm.......get the idea? Hopefully i didn't do too bad. Maths 1 test tomoro , kenot be feeling too down now. Supposed to study at night ended up watching some violent French movie. Wah the vulgar words they use damn choon man....

Final Light Before DeathThings are starting heat up right now. We just got our drama assignment which is due in 2 weeks. Solo monologue. Why is it always solo? Damn. Oh well at least this time its only the examiner watching , which means i can go all out ( making a fool of myself ) without my friends laughing at me about it. But it also means that things will be more intense , not getting to watch others do it before you , and it is more serious because it totals 10% of our final marks. Another sucky thing is that we need costumes and props this time , and maybe some sound effects. How troublesome.
Tommorow i'm having my first literature test yet i'm still here blogging. Oh well it wouldn't make much difference even if i studied it a lot. My mind is trained to think concrete , and im not imaginative enough to write "literature-ly". I'll try my best though , considering it takes up 5 % of my english marks. In the exams the paper will provide 4 excurts from 4 different poems out of 8 , and then we get to choose 2 excurts we want to write about. One of the poems we need to study was "The Road Not Taken". Ring any bells?
And on Saturday its Math 1 Practise Test. Man a test on Saturday? That sucks big time. Can't wait till all this is over. But after that it wouldn't be long before the first term exam starts ( our first break starts on the 24th of Sept =) so i reckon the exam will be the week before or something... )

A Busy Day
Wednesday. Worst day of the week. 4 lectures . 9.00am till 5.15pm. Phew , its tiring no matter how many times i've been through this. Got back and catched up a bit on my O2jamming and stopped just in time to watch an hour of Simpsons ( they show like 3 episodes a day ). It's probably the best TV programme around unless you're into CSI or Everybody Loves Raymond. We decided to stay home for dinner and so we cooked.....CURRY CHICKEN!!! Lip Zhun's mom brought some curry paste when they dropped by the last time so it wasn't too hard to just follow the instructions behind the packet. Boil the water , dump the curry paste along with chicken and potatos , and cook. Simple as ABC. Put a lil too much water and meat though , the taste was a lil bland but SHYYIIOOKK nonetheless. We had trouble wif the rice though ( of everything else ). We had to cook in like 3 times to make it REAL rice. Saddd. But the curry was still good =). It seems that its becoming a trend for me to post about cooking and food every single time. I guess that's the only interesting thing happening in my life for now..... ( SSaaadddd )
Having trouble deciding whether to stick with Optus pre-paid or get a new Vodafone pre-paid. Even Karen has switched to Vodafone. Hmmm... but i guess ill stick with Optus for now , since most of my college-mates are using it. But Vodafone has tons of free SMSs which could prove useful especially for international SMS...... =S

Wtf ? Okay , its some kind of rare disaese that is spreading rampantly in Aussie or something. We got free vaccines for it , so wats to lose? We all took our jabs today though i needed to wait a FREAKIN HOUR for it. Man the doctor took like wat , 10 min per person !??? Grrr!!! And it onli took him 2 sec to jab the freakin thing!!! ( didn't feel a thing ) Anyways dinner wasn't much better either. Me and my stupid bright ideas. Tried to copy Daniel's mom's tuna pasta. Failed terribly.... nearly ate raw potato if not for my friend who was coincidentally around ( potato cant be eaten raw ? LOL ) Tasted like dog food , is was so wet and yucky. Next time i better get the proper recipe before experimenting again.... BLeh!Still rethinking about the blog layout changing thingy , since Jolene kindly offered her assistance to me =P

Today we had physics lab and this is the first time for us doing it alone without assistant from lectures/teachers. Man was it a horrible experience. Mine was to study the coefficients of static friction of a variety of materials and some other factors. Have to put a mass on a plane then increase the "tita" to a point where the mass slides down and measure the "tita". Have to change material everytime and all those bull also. Man my results we're all over the place with hugh errors and inconsistency. And to top it all we didn't have time to finish our reports ! Arrghhh !!! And to think that its counted for our total marks in PH ! Omg...... And everyone else had problems too. Next time i'm sure everyone will come to lab prepared for everything......*** It seems only jolene bothers to comment on my posts...for everyone's info u guys can talk cock by clicking on the COMMENTS button below every post. And if karen u're seeing this we can go lepak anytime , but its hard to contact u when ur phone is broken =P ***

It's starting to look like the only thing interesting here is food. Everything else is so normal. I'm starting to play basketball again , but not much. And it will only get less , cause the skin of my right palm is starting to peel again ( its that time of the year i guess ) and its hurting too. I also found out that it is not wise to go shopping alone. You need all those extra hands you can get when you are buying really heavy stuff. I bought a set of kitchenware and sweated my way back to the apartment ( its winter btw ). I've been walking around alone a lot lately , i wonder why...Anyways back to the food. Lip Zhun's family is in town , and his parents were kind enough to treat me n Kafaii to a luxurious dinner. Lobster noodles.....OOHHHH SYOOKK!!! Something we wouldn't enjoy for a loooooooooooong time. And the other dishes we're unbelivably delicious too! Yummy. And just last night , i walked to Grattan ST to tapau some nasi lemak. They tasted good , obviously not as good as back home , but good enough. That afternoon we also got the chance to try Gelati ( some italian icecream u noobs ) Omg its the best ice cream ive ever tasted! Texture smooth as silk , flavour rich as ummmm Bill Gates ? Oh god that's lame. Must be too much kafaiism. Hmm.... And oh yah i cooked dinner ! Without professional help ! Really ! God and it actually tastes good too. Here is the pic of my newly created dish :
* Yes , yes it doesn't look appetizing but it tastes good ! I promise !*
I forsee an interesting and busy week in front of me , especially with drama. We have to do a 2 min solo mime performance each ( mime = acting without props and sound ) That's gonna be something.....
