CNY 2005

Boo hoo. First Chinese New Year away from home. No big family reunion, no big friends gambling party, no luxurious food, no angpows.......even most of my frens here have gone back to their home towns. Sigh. NAAHHHH It isn't all thaaaaatt bad. It was fun actually, in a different kind of way. Sure, we didn't go out to an expensive restaurant or anything, but that doesn't mean we didn't have fun right? (Actually paer of it is cause everything is fully booked by the time we realise it) For our reunion dinner we had potluck at my place (the house) where we brought what we cooked together and eat as a "family". Ironically half of the food served was Japanese (Chinese New Year anyone?). Haha anyways its cause my Jap fren, Kei, cooked 4 (TEMPURA!!!) dishes and another fren of mine cooked Teriyaki chicken so yea...didn't matter anyways. I cooked Bak Kut Teh....dun believe is it? Next time cook for u la to see (for a price). There were more than enough food on the table, our stomachs were stuffed by the end of the meal. We had alcoholic soft drinks to accompany the meal, and my Chinese fren got tipsy and she started saying funny stuff and acting weird. Ohhh so fun to watch. Keke. After dinner we spent our time playing stupid games that require the loser to drink a shot of wine. It kept us cheerful the whole night, we were laughing at the top of our heads (thanks to lame games kafaii thought up) About the wine.....we got it just bfor dinner (my fren and I) and since we were no expert we chose "Vinus Cardonnay" which costs us a mere 10 bucks. Hmmm lets just say it tastes as good as it costs =). At the end of the night the bottle of wine was still almost full so me , Kafaii and Raymond (Daniel's futute housemate) decided to play a game to finish it off. Hard to explain which game it was, but basically we ended up drinking roughly the same ammount (1/3 of the bottle) and Raymond got drunk and like my other fren, started doing funny stuff. Once again i stress that alcohol is not good for you, though its still fun to watch =P

Happy Chinese New Year laddies!!!!

Holidays are ending and university is starting....A start of a new era in my life. Can't wait for my friends to get back too =) And i would like to welcome our latest member , Pei-fern!! (soon-to-be anyways )
